Kanye West’s Russia Concerts Removed from Official World Tour Schedule

Scheduled concerts by American rapper Kanye West in Saint Petersburg have been removed from his official world tour schedule, deepening uncertainty surrounding his potential appearance in Russia.

Earlier, West’s official website listed two back-to-back shows at the Gazprom Arena for October 10 and 11. The Russian dates have now been scrubbed from the itinerary, leaving an October 24 performance in Jakarta as his next scheduled stop.

Despite the omission, Russian booking firm Say Agency maintains that the events have not been called off. The agency’s general director, Anna Subcheva, attributed the removal from the public roster to intense backlash surrounding the planned shows, noting that the controversy posed reputational concerns for West and his team. Say Agency emphasized that logistical preparations remain in their final stages.

Questions over the concerts have circulated since August, when Say Agency announced the two stadium dates and subsequently reported selling over 100,000 tickets.

However, representatives of the Gazprom Arena later stated that no binding lease contract had been executed, noting that the events cannot legally take place without formal agreements in place—even though event listings had previously appeared on the venue's own portal.

Russian media outlets, citing anonymous sources, also claimed the performances failed to clear regulatory approvals from senior officials, though no formal confirmation of official intervention has been provided.

Amid conflicting statements, fans have increasingly sought ticket refunds, prompting Russia's consumer protection watchdog Rospotrebnadzor to issue an official warning to Say Agency following payment disputes.

While West’s official channels no longer list any stops in Russia, local organizers continue to maintain that the Saint Petersburg shows will proceed.
